Saturday: National Women's Day ~ Show the women in your life how important they are!
An occasion marked by women's groups around the world. This date is also commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development.
so today ~ Appreciate the women in you life! Celebrate all that they do, say, and their actions, that enrich all of our lives.
And if you are a woman - know just how fabulous you are!

Where can I find this community?

CoffeeLoft.org is located at 417 N. Pine St. (right across from Burgess/Norton Residence Hall).  Open daily from 10am-7pm, the house is a great place to study (with wireless internet and a community computer) or hang out and watch TV in the living room.  Angelica Laudermith, the director of CoffeeLoft.org, has an office on the first floor and her door is always open.  While you’re there grab a cup of coffee or tea to keep your hands warm as you hang out on the new deck or stay inside with a 40 cent coke from our glass bottle coke machine.
The second and third floors of the CoffeeLoft.org house are where members of the Student Christian Community (SCC) live.  This year we have 7 people living in the house so there is always someone home to hang out with.  Check out the passion areas to the right to find out what the SCC members are working on this semester.
